Services

We are committed to supporting, promoting and enhancing family-focused services in a parent-driven atmosphere for families who have children with special needs, 0-22 years of age. Our primary focus is to empower families through up to date information, training and education, referrals and parent-to-parent support.

Access Services is a public agency dedicated to providing quality transportation services for people with disabilities in Los Angeles County who are unable to use the bus or train for some or all of their trips. Our services and programs are mandated by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Access is a form of public transportation and is a shared ride, curb-to-curb service. 

Alma Family Services was established in 1975 in East Los Angeles by parents to provide, along with other purposes, a comprehensive range of multilingual community based services for families including those with special needs.

Autism Speaks is dedicated to promotion solutions across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. We do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions.

CAPC, Inc. empowers individuals with disabilities and works with them to gain employment, assisted living arrangements, and connects them to the community by providing access to transportation, improve their communication and help them pursue higher education and strong relationships.

Our capable team provides Critical Intervention Services to de-escalate crisis situations and bring balance to the individual and their support teams. Our network of resources ranging from mental health to behavioral strategies are here to support the individual’s multi-faceted development needs.

DOR administers the largest vocational rehabilitation and independent living programs in the country. Vocational rehabilitation services are designed to help job seekers with disabilities obtain competitive employment in integrated work settings. Independent living services may include peer support, skill development, systems advocacy, referrals, assistive technology services, transition services, housing assistance, and personal assistance services.

Disability Support Services provides support to adult students with disabilities so they can successfully transition to, participate in, and complete their postsecondary education at NOCE.

The Eastern Los Angeles Family Resource Center (FRC) specializes in providing support, information, education, resources, and training for individuals with disabilities and their families, as well as the professionals and community members who work with them, in the eastern region of Los Angeles County.

ECF’s mission is to provide the highest quality services for children and adults who are challenged with developmental, learning, and emotional disabilities—empowering them to reach their greatest potential.

The Inclusion Services Clinical Team provides initial and ongoing behavior training to all staff.  Support staff are given initial and ongoing behavior training, in field support and guided feedback during sessions with consumers. Trainings include behavioral intervention strategies to assist with the prevention and management of maladaptive behaviors with our consumers.

Meals on Wheels is dedicated to helping the disabled, aged and chronically or temporarily ill. The service provides nourishing food at a nominal cost during a period of need and assures a helping hand so residents can remain self-sufficient in their own homes. 

We are dedicated to transforming the lives of individuals with diverse abilities by helping them discover their voice and realize their dreams. To do so, we: strive to provide comprehensive support system for challenging situations, including improving access and quality of life for those we serve; transform live by tailoring our services to individual’s needs, including emotional, practical, and cultural; continually educate to break stereotypes. 

A Claremont based non profit organization dedicated to increasing the independence of people with disabilities and seniors. 50% of our staff and board are people with disabilities, providing us a unique insight into how to provide the best services. 

 Our team provides ABA treatment to clients ranging in age from 2 to 21 with diagnoses on the autism spectrum, intellectual disability, epilepsy, and Down’s syndrome disorder throughout California. Services are provided in the client's homes and communities. All of our leadership and supervisors hold BCBAs or BCaBAs and work closely with clients, behavioral interventionists and/or Registered Behavioral Therapist (RBT) staff to promote growth and development. Our clients receive ongoing assessments and extensive parental training, with empirically based research treatments tailored to each client’s special needs.

The mission of Social Vocational Services is to provide training and support necessary for those who participate in its services to achieve their social, recreational, vocational, and residential goals. 

Team of Advocates for Special Kids (TASK) is a nonprofit charitable organization whose mission is to enable individuals with disabilities to reach their maximum potential by providing them, their families and the professionals who serve them with training, support, information, resources and referrals, and by providing community awareness programs. Initially, the primary focus was on children three to 21 years of age, but services evolved to include all ages, especially in the TASK Technology Center.

Thinkers 4 Autism (T4A) is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization with a group of people dedicated to raising monies to provide a community with much needed services for families with children on the Autism Spectrum and Special Needs. Our goals are to provide families with respite care, winter/Easter break care, after school programs and summer day camp. Our focus is to raise awareness and monies to provide our families these services at little to no cost with care to be provided to our children by caring loving and most importantly qualified people. 

Villa Esperanza Services serves intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Villa is a unique service provider, offering individualized programs and a continuum of care over the course of a lifetime. Our comprehensive programs for children are centralized on a single campus and include the Villa Esperanza School, the Hjelte-Phillips Speech and Language Center, and occupational therapy clinic. Our personalized programs for adults integrated throughout the community include Employment Services, family-style residential homes, independent living skills coaching, and day programs for adults and seniors. We change lives--from teaching a child with autism how to say "hello;" to giving an adult with Down syndrome the skills to earn a paycheck and the pride of having a job; to providing an intellectually disabled senior the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteering and helping others.
